FurniTrader's Origins:

The concept for FurniTrader began early in my college career at the University of Kentucky. While trying to furnish my apartment, I realized how expensive new furniture was and how impossible it was to find quality used furniture at an affordable price. This dilemma sparked curiosity, and soon I found myself at every furniture outlet imaginable- from the neighborhood Goodwill to high price consignment shops. In my research I could not find any furniture that would properly satisfy the needs of a college student or someone on a tight budget. So for a few more years, I continued to research on a viable solution to this problem. I wanted to create a place where budget minded consumers could purchase practical used furniture at affordable prices. I wanted to eliminate the hassle I had encountered during my search for furniture, and thus FurniTrader was born. FurniTrader opened its virtual doors on August 1, 2003, and from that date forward, we have been providing local communities with a practical used furniture solution—Connecting buyers and sellers in a friendly, efficient manner. Our goal is to help people sell their furniture quickly and efficiently, and to provide buyers with an easy to use thumbnail system.
